Fees

Our pre-school is open for children from 9.00 am until 3.00 pm. The additional half an hour early morning session is in addition to the sessional hours and can be booked at a cost of £3.00 per half-hour on a daily basis.

Funded Places: Children who are eligible for funding, but use their funding at other establishments will be charged £6.00 per hour. In order to receive funding after your child's third birthday, staff need to see a copy of their birth certificate and proof of address.

30 hours of funding is also available for children the term after their second birthday whose parents meet certain criteria.
Further information can be found on www.torbay.gov.uk

Two-year-old funding for 15 hours, is also available to children who meet certain criteria.

Children not eligible for funding will be charge £6.00 per hour
All registered unattended sessions must be paid for.

St Marychurch Pre-school does not request a deposit nor charges a registration fee.

Consumable charge: The government funding is intended to provide free flexible childcare, but it is not intended to cover for consumable, additional hours, or additional services. Parents should therefore expect to pay these fees.

Although the Consumable charge will be voluntary for parents, you can choose to opt in or out of paying the consumable charge. The consumable charge is £1.50 per day which covers consumables such as healthy snacks.

Nutrition

Children are encouraged to have healthy snacks and water is available at all times. We sit down to a group snack time around 10 o'clock. We have fruit, vegetables, yoghurt, crumpet and toast on a regular basis as part of a healthy balanced diet.

Layout

We have a good-sized indoor classroom with a range of appropriate activities and resources. We also have access to the larger hall where we can use bikes, scooters and prams. Our outdoor spaces are frequently used so children are requested to bring in spare wellington boots and waterproof clothing. Outside we have dens, a mud kitchen, ball run, patio and large grass area for a range of outdoor activities.

Online Learning Diary

Every child has an online learning diary and developmental forms that follows their time at Pre-school. These are regularly updated and you are welcome to contribute to them. The online learning diary includes examples of their work, photographs and observations and can be shared with all the family. See Tapestry
